Our History
Combase AG was founded in 1994 by Thomas Freier as a private company in Dresden, Germany. At the time, the company went under the name Combase Informatic.
Dresden proved to be an ideal location for information and communication technology with its pronounced science-technology landscape, chip manufacturing, advanced communication networks and tech-savvy people.
Since the beginning, the company made a name for itself through forward-looking ideas. Innovative software solutions revealed new ways to enhance the competitiveness of customers to optimize their efficiency and increase employee morale. Proximity, trust and transparency are among the most important maxims of Combase. The success of the company is fitting as customer relationships from the first days are still in existence today.
With the establishment of Combase AG in 2000, the company paved the way for further successful international growth and the activities of Combase Informatic were gradually transferred over to the new corporation.
With the combination of these skills, it has enabled Combase to advise customers with future- and long-term orientation and to assist them in company-wide changes in their IT environment. The values of Combase, expertise, partnership and innovation is the shared commitment of all employees – not only in their work for the customer, but also within the company.
The incorporation of COMBASE USA in 2011 marked a significant step towards fulfilling the long-time vision of Till Freier, CEO of COMBASE USA, to further expand the company and spread the values, experience and broadly tested solutions inherited from Combase AG to North America.
